Boxed In

I am drowning in boxes.
Okay, that opening sentence may be hyperbole, I am not literally drowning in boxes. The issue I have is that I cannot seem to throw boxes away. Can you relate?
It isn’t just boxes though.

A finished candle, the glass jar glinting at me.
A mini glass milk bottle, waiting to be filled.
A postal bag, what if I sell something on Vinted?
The tin from an Easter egg is ready to be useful.
A small bag, what if I NEED it!
You get the picture, I am having trouble saying goodbye to things, I don’t always need.

A quick hunt on the internet and it seems to be a Millennial trait. To catch you up millennials were born between 1981-1996 - or if it's easier to remember the period Charles and Diana were married.
Millennials seem to be lumbered with a lack of affordable housing and may keep boxes because we need to move more often. Maybe we find value in having the box in case we need it. There are so many reasons.
So if we’re around the same age, you may well have an urge to keep the boxes.

I don’t think we need them all - so join me in getting rid of the less useful ones - and free up some space in your life. However, there are some things you can keep!
I used the empty candle for my cotton buds.
The mini glass milk bottle is a lovely vase.
The postal bag was sent off with a gem from Vinted.
The tin from the Easter egg has coffee pods in it.
The small bag takes up no space in my bag of bags so that is fine!
If you have the urge to keep boxes, now you know why, and perhaps you won't feel so strange putting the odd one in the recycling!
