Dress Euphoria

{PR Products throughout - Selkie dress PR LOAN from Hurr}

Oh hello, darling! I interrupt April’s content to bring you this DRESS! Today I am continuing to spotlight brands that are doing the work when it comes to inclusivity. Enter the divine folks at Hurr, the rental platform that allows us to rent fabulous garments, for a reasonable price.

When they reached out to me to rent some garments I JUMPED at it, especially when I know they have a growing plus-size selection on their site. Whilst there is far less choice north of a UK 22, this is something that is continually growing.

Selkie is a brand that launched with a size range of XXS - XXXXXL which is still very rare in 2021, with low waste high-quality production, they create garments that are showstoppers. I have seen so many of my favourite people on the internet looking so divine in Selkie, and getting a slice of this organza action has been on my to-do list for a while

I was able to rent one of the stunning Classic Puff dresses, and when I tell you I squealed with joy when I tried it on, I am underselling the feeling of euphoria I felt! It is very rare that a garment arrives, fits and makes me feel THIS SPECIAL. Anytime that this happens, I always want to share this with you, in case you want to feel this good too!

Selkie is yet another brand showing that plus sizes SELL, and sell out with a waiting list! Hurr have shown there is a more renewable way to allow more people access to such fab garments, and have made me feel so valid as a plus-size non-binary person.

I have said it before, and I will say it again here “The fact that I have made my name in fashion influencing is crazy. Bodies like mine should get ten times the praise because it is ten times harder to look THIS good when you have ten percent of the choice that thinfluencers get.”

It is not enough anymore for brands to say this is too hard. I know I am not asking the world to make all size ranges more inclusive, but it feels like an uphill struggle. When I see brands getting it right, it is so frustrating that others cannot be bothered to even try. Funds effects access to sustainable options, but size is never given the same consideration when it comes to options available.

So I have shown yet another brand doing it right, and Hurr is a great solution to constant consumption - I hope any brands not yet doing the work are taking notes and will do better in the future!

Thank you for joining me today, I will be back next week to discuss sex appeal! As always, I love you lots like jelly tots, until next time, uh buh bye.

I am wearing a UK26, and probably could have sized down to a 22 because I don't have a bust. It is certainly very generous sizing.
